Înalta Curte de Casaţie şi Justiţie a judecat miercuri recursul comisarului şef Marius Pop, şeful Poliţiei Teiuş, la măsura arestării preventive dispusă săptămâna trecută de Curtea de Apel Alba Iulia. Instanţa supremă a decis ca poliţistul să fie cercetat în libertate.

Pronunţarea ÎCCJ a avut loc în cursul serii. Magistraţii au impus obligaţia poliţistului de a nu părăsi ţara. Marius Pop este cercetat de DNA pentru favorizarea infractorului, omisiunea sesizării organelor judiciare, fals intelectual,uz de fals şi încercarea de a determina mărturia mincinoasă.Curtea de Apel a decis joi, 8 martie 2012, arestarea preventivă a comisarului şef pentru 29 de zile. Marius Pop a fost suspendat de la conducerea Poliţiei Teiuş şi pus la dispoziţia IPJ Alba.

Potrivit procurorilor DNA, în cursul lunii octombrie 2011, inculpatul Pop Marius-Mircea, în calitatea sa de şef al Poliţiei oraşului Teiuş, a luat la cunoştinţă cu privire la faptul că unul dintre subordonaţii săi, agent de ordine publică, a înlocuit un proces verbal de sancţionare a unei persoane cu amendă contravenţională în sumă de 500 de lei cu un altul prin care a dispus doar avertisment. Cu toate acestea, inculpatul nu a sesizat autorităţile judiciare competente pentru infracţiunea de abuz în serviciu şi a făcut demersuri pentru a împiedica tragerea la răspundere penală a subordonatului său.
